Lean in or Lean out?

Lean in or Lean out? Which is the better strategy? Some argue you should lean in to assert your place at the table and develop the style of your peers. Others say you should lean out if that is the style you bring to the table - a softer, more empathetic approach.

It is only women who have such debates. Only women need to overthink what they bring to the table and how they bring it. How nice it would be to have the luxury of being as you are and be respected.

But the long-standing issue of whether women should adopt a masculine style or embrace their own, even if it is more feminine, continues. Women will never be as good as men at masculinity, so rather than even try, let us claim our style and not worry so much about which way to lean.
